Coastal Connections Inc. is a certified 501 (c) 3 and is governed by a Board of Directors. CCI was founded in 2008 by colleagues Vicky Hunt, Deb Plumer and Sheila Skane.  Two of these founders, Deb and Vicky,  have dedicated their careers to adult services with roots as Special Education teachers in the 1970’s.  Kathy Jennell worked with Deb and Vicky as a teaching assistant in the 1980’s.  Sheila Skane, CFO, worked with Deb and Vicky first as a paraprofessional, which built a true understanding of the importance of the work of direct support staff,  later as a Business Manager, then after obtaining her MBA, became the CFO.

 

With over 40 years of serving individuals with disabilities, these ladies have a long history of offering dynamic, stimulating, engaging and meaningful activities for people with a wide range of disabilities.

 

What defines this current BOD is that all the members have worked in direct service in the field of delivering services to people with disabilities.  This has instilled a lifelong commitment to be champions of people with disabilities and continuously strive to provide best practices.
