Coastal serves as a practicum site for college students enrolled in the Direct Support Professional Certificate Program.
University of Mass/Lowell - Electrical Engineering Department
Student from UML complete their Senior Capstone project in electrical engineering by designing assistive technology projects for individuals attending Coastal Connections.
Boy Scouts
5 Boy Scouts have completed their Eagle Projects at Coastal Connections. In addition, one staff person is a qualified Boy Scout leader and he teaches the Disability Awareness Badge. This has resulted in many troop visits to Coastal to fulfill the requirements of that badge.
Pettengill House
Coastal served as a host site for the annual coat drive held by Pettengil House. Assisted with annual fundraiser; organized backpacks for distribution.
Turning Point
Coastal serves as a summer intern site for the Summer Urban Youth Program. Several high school students work at Coastal each summer to introduce them to the field of human services. These students are paid in full by Turning Point.
Amesbury Police Department
Officers bring a once per month birthday cake to Coastal - donated by Stop and Shop.
Amesbury Fire Department
Completed Fire Demonstration - complete with Smoke house, ladder truck and hoses for whole agency.
Amesbury High School
Students at AHS worked with individuals from Coastal Connections to make 1000 ribbons for the Red Ribbon campaign.

Heart to Heart Program
Coastal created art work that was sent to soldiers at Walter Reed Medical Center and Deb and Sheila assisted with the bundling of cards to send to the hospital with a wide array of community volunteers.
Amesbury High School Rhythmics
Performed for Coastal Connections at holiday event.
Chamber of Commerce, Amesbury
Co-sponsored various community events including annual meeting, holiday sponsorships of needy family.
Be a Buddy, Not a Bully program
Co-Sponsored community breakfast to kick off campaign; packaged all the Be a Buddy Not a Bully bracelets for all area schools for distribution.
Red Ribbon for Safety Campaign in collaboration with the Amesbury Police Department
Coastal was responsible for creating nearly 3000 red ribbons and distributing them throughout the community in early December to remind drivers to drive safely; NECN news filmed a segment for their new show; also filmed by local cable TV.
Seabrook Community Table
Coastal provides a monthly lunch for up the free lunch program at Seabrook Community Table.
Provided Gratitude bags for 9/11 tribute at Fire Station
Presented gift bags to the members of the Amesbury Fire Department.
Volunteered at Heritage Towers - local apartments for low income and people with disabilities
Exec. Dir., CFO, several staff and family volunteers served 2 dinners at Heritage Towers to residents. We were then invited to a Volunteer Luncheon as a thank you.
Essex County Sheriff's Outreach Program
A program run 2 times per year, 6 consecutive weeks - run by the Essex County Sheriff's department - Coastal has had 4-5 individuals attend each session every year / In addition Coastal Connections hosted a thank you brunch for the staff from the Sheriff's Outreach program here at Coastal.
Built and donated a new podium to the City of Amesbury
Individuals in the Maker's Studio program designed and built a podium which was presented at a City Council meeting in Amesbury with many of the individuals involved in the building present.
Collaborated with Anna Jacques Hospital to create a Christmas tree for the Salisbury Festival of Trees
Coastal Connections designed and built the Christmas tree, AJH decorated the tree.

Lowell Boat Shop Coastal Apprentice Program
Volunteer weekly in boat shop, build small projects.
YWCA Newburyport - Strength Training, Fitness
Newburyport YWCA for weekly fitness.
Maplewood Manor Nursing Home
Volunteers set up dining room weekly.

Set tables for community dinner, stock warehouse and store.

General maintenance once a week; weekly assorted chores.
